A heartfelt brotherhood moment was shared between Barangay Ginebra star Scottie and Top Flight Sports-Canada's Justin Thompson during the Finals of the 2024 NBTC Division 2.
Justin Thompson, the younger brother of Barangay Ginebra star Scottie Thompson, came in clutch for Top Flight Sports-Canada's Division 2 championship in the 2024 NBTC over the weekend.
The NSD spirit truly is in the blood of the Thompsons.
Capping a commanding comeback over the Eco-Green Technology Makati, Justin's game-saving layup pushed Top Flight Sports Canada to be the first-ever global team to win the NBTC Division 2 championship.

"Nagpapasalamat ako kay God. Binigay sa amin 'tong championship. Hinabol lang talaga namin 'yong kalaban eh kasi tambak na kami no'n. Ano lang, NSD [Never Say Die] spirit lang," said Justin.
Afterwards, it was a proud kuya moment for Scottie as Justin hugged him right after their hard-earned championship, which they actually won in overtime.
"Unang-una, thank you, Lord sa panalo nila. Sa championship na binigay. Of course, truly proud. Wala na akong ibang masabi kundi sobrang proud kasi I know kung gaano niya pinaghirapan 'yong mga ginagawa niya," said Scottie.
Justin also mentioned that one of the best pieces of advice he received from his kuya was the importance of faith, self-confidence, and hard work."Tiwala lang talaga kay God, saka sa sarili, at 'di mawawalan ng kumpiyansa. Tapos hard work din," mentioned the younger Thompson.Will we witness Justin wearing the iconic Ginebra jersey as well? "Sana, sana kasi crowd favorite 'yong Ginebra," Justin hopes in the future.Apart from his brother, the younger Thompson also looks up to other Ginebra aces in Mark Caguioa, L.A. Tenorio, and Jayjay Helterbrand.
"Idol ko rin sila kuya Mark [Caguioa], kuya L.A. [Tenorio] saka si kuya Jayjay Helterbrand" added Justin.
