Lyann De Guzman is contemplating on her future after the Ateneo Blue Eagles ended their UAAP Season 86 campaign on Wednesday.

De Guzman made sure to give the Blue Eagles a triumphant finish to their bid, pouring 14 points in a straight-set 25-13, 25-17, 25-21 victory over the Adamson University Lady Falcons.

After playing her third full season with Ateneo, the 5-foot-10 outside hitter mulls whether she will continue her collegiate stint or take her act to the pros.

“Actually, I'm still deciding pa but let's see,” De Guzman said.

De Guzman, who is in her fourth year in school, still has two more years of eligibility with the Blue Eagles.

Whether she chooses to continue her journey with Ateneo or hang her collegiate jersey for good, De Guzman is sure to remain a promising scorer as she averaged 15.3 points in Season 86. She breached the 20-point threshold thrice in 14 outings, with her best outing coming against UE in round 2 with 25 points.

More than anything, De Guzman is glad to have given a proper sendoff for team captain Roma Mae Doromal, whom she feels immense gratitude for.

“Actually, I'm super happy na nag-stay siya kasi actually sa totoo lang feel ko noon kasi parang hindi pa talaga ako ready na maging captain talaga ng team na i-lead sila," Lyann said.

I'm super happy nag-stay si ate Roms na kahit paano siya pa rin nag-guide sa amin. Kahit papaano siya natulungan din niya ako paano i-lead 'yung teammates ko," she added.
