Back-to-back bronze medals mark a one-place improvement for the Philippines, who finished fourth in both legs of the SEA V.League last year.
All’s well that ends well for Alas Pilipinas.
Alas Men made it back-to-back bronze medal finishes in the 2024 SEA V.League, repeating over Vietnam in Leg 2 Sunday at the UNY Sport Complex in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Down 1-2 in sets, the Philippines had to rally to take down Vietnam in five, scoring a 27-25, 14-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-12 win.
Back-to-back bronze medals mark a one-place improvement for the Philippines, who finished fourth in both legs of the same tournament last year.
The victory should also provide a nice morale-boost for Alas Pilipinas, as the national team endured a challenging week that included seeing star hitter Bryan Bagunas go down with an injury in Leg 1 in the Philippines.
