Eya Laure hopes the strong support for Alas Pilipinas Women carries over to the Alas Men as they prepare for the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship.
After the success of Alas Pilipinas Women in 2024, Eya Laure is calling on Filipino fans to show the same—if not greater—support for the men’s national team as they gear up for the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship in September.
Laure, named an ambassador for the tournament, emphasized the importance of rallying behind the men’s squad ahead of their biggest preparation and competition.
“Since world championship na 'to, sana bawa't Pilipino kung ano 'yung pinaramdam niyo sa women's volleyball, sa Alas Pilipinas (Women), sana iparamdam din natin times ten sa men's volleyball ngayong world championship dahil talaga alam ko maraming nakahanda sa kanilang programa, mga training camps, mga liga, in preparation of this league,” Laure said during the PNVF’s press launch.
“Sana lahat ng mga hard work at sacrifices nila ay masuklian natin by supporting and watching them.”
Alas Women saw their games at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila get flocked by thousands of fans to see them take home the bronze medal in the 2024 AVC Women’s Challenge Cup.
Now, with the World Championship set to be hosted in Manila from September 12 to 28, Alas Men will have the opportunity of making even more history as they go up against Tunisia, Egypt, and Iran in Group A.

Meanwhile, being part of the promotional efforts for a world-class volleyball event is an honor, Laure shared, expressing excitement over the opportunity to witness elite competition firsthand.
“Ibig sabihin best of the best talaga kaya sobrang saya nung nalaman ko. Syempre magkakaroon din ako ng opportunity, lahat naman tayo, na mapanood ang word class men's volleyball dito sa Pilipinas,” Laure explained.

As an ambassador, Laure also sees this as a chance to encourage Filipinos to fully support both men’s and women’s volleyball.
“Syempre bukod sa naglalaro ako ng volleyball, syempre para i-encourage ko rin sila na hindi lang women's ang pwedeng suportahan kundi men's din dahil may ibubuga talaga ang men's volleyball at alam naman natin na basta Pilipino, talagang ipapakita ang best nila lalong lalo na kung Pilipinas ang dala,” said Laure.
