He’s probably trying to get all hyped up for the FIBA World Cup, or not.
Jordan Clarkson is coming off his best statistical season in the NBA as he averaged 20.8 points, 4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists as a starter for the Utah Jazz. That alone warrants a nice reward for himself during the offseason. Well, one of the rewards he chose was to go see a concert of his singer-songwriter girlfriend Maggie Lindemann.
On Sunday, the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year shared on Instagram a few electrifying scenes as his lady love rocked the stage.
Another performer that day was pop star Machine Gun Kelly. Known for his bizarre antics, MGK lived up to his reputation during his set, and JC was right there to witness it firsthand.
When off the court, the Filipino-American bucket-getter is usually seen in a get-up that can be described as either eccentric or bold. With that, he seemed to fit right in with the unique and wild atmosphere of a music festival.
As he said, it does hit "different."
When the concert-high dies down, it’s likely that next on JC’s agenda will have something to do with Gilas Pilipinas. The Philippine men’s national basketball team is set to resume its preparations for the FIBA World Cup on June 7, and a call-up for the 30-year-old NBA cager should be in the works.
Whether you're Team Justin Brownlee or Team Clarkson for that naturalized player spot, the presence of JC for Gilas during the lead-up to the World Cup will only mean good things.
