CJ Perez has just towed San Miguel to the PBA summit, but basketball simply does not stop for the league's Best Player of the Conference and Finals MVP as he fulfills another task in his to-do list.
From the buildup for the FIBA World Cup in Manila to the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China last year to the recently concluded PBA Commissioner's Cup, CJ Perez has barely taken a break from basketball action.
The eight-month grind is not about to stop now as Perez is set to shift his focus to his national team duties with Gilas Pilipinas who are gearing up for the upcoming 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.
“Hindi pa ako nagpapahinga,” said Perez shortly after steering San Miguel to a record extending 29th crown via a championship-sealing 104-102 Game Six win over Magnolia in the import-laced conference last Wednesday.

But the Best Player of the Conference and Finals Most Valuable player does not mind. He is set to give his all knowing that what he juggles in his hands now are his dreams fulfilled.
“Sobrang saya kong nakakasama ako sa mga ganito, sa national team,” he said. “Hindi ko naman in-expect na makakasama pero pinangarap ko 'yun. Habang bata, ibibigay ko lahat ng makakaya ko.”
