Justin Brownlee spearheaded Gilas' charge but produced nowhere near the numbers he churned out in the group stage of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament as the Brazilians hounded him in the semis.
Justin Brownlee faced tough opposition and was limited to 15 points in Gilas Pilipinas' 60-71 loss to Brazil in the do-or-die semifinals in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Latvia on Saturday, July 6.
While Brownlee remained to be the topscorer for the Nationals, his output was a far cry from his near triple-double average of 27 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists in their matches against world No. 6 Latvia and 23rd-ranked Georgia in group play.
He went on a five-for-16 clip while also tallying eight rebounds and two assists against Brazil.
