“In time, it’ll make sense why this happened. For now, I leave it up to God. I know His plans are working in my favor regardless of the obstacles that have been put in my path.”

These heartfelt words from Camille Clarin came after suffering a knee injury at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2025, showing her unwavering faith and strength.

Despite her injury sidelining her for the tournament, her influence on Gilas Pilipinas Women remained undeniable, inspiring her teammates to rally and persevere.

On her Instagram story, Clarin expressed her gratitude to fans, saying, “Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes. I haven’t been able to reply to each one of you, but I truly do appreciate every single one of them.”

“The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it. I’m always grateful for another mountain to climb,” she added.

Even without Clarin on the court, Gilas Pilipinas Women delivered a thrilling 19-15 comeback victory over Mongolia in the quarterfinals.

Though Clarin couldn't play, her spirit was felt throughout the game, motivating her teammates to dig deep and push through adversity.

In the end, Gilas Pilipinas Women finished in fourth place at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2025, improving on their sixth-place finish from the previous year.

Playing without their star player, they fought hard but ultimately fell to the world’s top-ranked team, China, in the semifinals.

China's size and strength proved too much for the Filipinas, as Zhou Mengyun dominated the paint early on.

Despite some brilliant moments from Gilas, including a beautiful lob from Kaye Pingol to Mikka Cacho, fatigue set in, and the Filipinas were unable to sustain their momentum.

Nevertheless, their fourth-place finish marks a significant improvement and a step forward for the team, proving that resilience, unity, and hard work can take them to new heights in future competitions.
