King Ryan thinks he has been betrayed.
The dust has settled on the Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia super fight, and it was Davis who emerged victorious, knocking down Garcia in the second round before finishing him off with a left straight to the ribcage in the seventh.
After the fight, both men were cordial to each other despite the searing trash talk in the buildup to fight night. King Ryan, to his credit, was complimentary of Tank and offered up no excuses for his first ever defeat as a professional—until now, it seems.
On Monday, Garcia posted an Instagram Story alleging that a mole was able to infiltrate his training camp, in effect suggesting that Davis may have had insider knowledge of the former’s preparations.
Actually, sad I had a mole in my camp like wtf that’s crazy but thank God it’s brought to light now,” Garcia wrote in his Story, which is now inaccessible.

In a follow-up story, Garcia clarified that he was not offering up any excuses and that he was just “shocked” that someone on his team had crossed him.

The 24-year-old double-down on his point on Twitter by replying to Bleacher Report’s tweet of the same bold claim. In his reply, Garcia emphasized that Davis beat him, and he was not making excuses for his brutal loss.

Whatever the case may be, it will be back to the drawing board for King Ryan, who has already announced his intent to move up to junior welterweight, as well as his desire to rematch with Davis at either 140 or 147 (welterweight).
