There is this saying: Behind every successful man is his woman.
That might be the case for Carlos Yulo, the golden boy of Philippine gymnastics. The 23-year-old gymnast just keeps winning, so much that his dreams of an Olympic return are starting to grow closer to reality.
Yes, everything seems to be coming up roses for the former Olympian, who on Thursday also celebrated with his beau their third year of love. And the famously tightlipped and private Yulo took to Instagram to thank the love of his life—and express a few sweet messages at the same time.
“Happy 3rd anniversary mahal ko @chloeanjeleigh ??,” Yulo began. And he was just getting warmed up.
“Thank you so much mahal ko sa celebration and anniversary gift! Maraming salamat sa pag dala mo sakin dito 🇭🇰??. Sobra kitang na-aappreciate sa lahat ng mga ginawa/ginagawa mo para sa relationship natin,” Yulo continued. “Napakasaya ko na kasama kita sa isa sa mga pinaka-importante na araw sa buhay ko! Hindi ko i-nexpect na ako pala yung masusurpresa sa mga hinanda mo 😅😍.”
The golden boy wasn’t done. After all, his heart seems overflowing with love.
“Malaking pasasalamat sa taas sa gabay at pag bibigay alaga sa relasyon natin. Nawa’y patnubayan at bigyan pa tayo ng lakas para harapin ang mga pag subok sa buhay!” he added. “Muli, maraming salamat sa pag bibigay ng time and effort para mabuo yung araw na to. Sa mga sakripisyo at pag mamahal mo sakin lubos akong nag papasalamat sayo mahal ko ??.”
Of course, here’s the clincher: “I love you so much mahal! ??😘.”
The pride of Manila will be heading into the World Championships later this year with big goals as he looks to officially qualify for the Paris Olympics.
And it looks like he has all the inspiration and motivation he needs.
