Filipino volleyball superstar Jia de Guzman has been putting in work as she gears up for her Japan V.League debut. A few videos of the talented setter have already circulated around the internet showing how she’s starting to build that on-court connection with her new squad, the Denso Airybees.

But before the season kicks off, Jia has some free time, which she chose to spend by vlogging under a YouTube channel that she shares with her husband Miguel. One of her entries features her cooking Filipino dishes for her Japanese teammates. Her mean Adobo proves that she can really do it all.

On the latest upload of Jia and Miguel, the wife and hubby went to Nagoya’s famous Osu Shopping District and filmed one of their most favorite things to do in Japan. Apparently, the couple are really into playing with the claw machines in the arcade.

“This is the only thing we spend our money on here. I swear,” Miguel quipped as they made their way into an arcade.

Perhaps it’s the thrill of snagging those ultra-cute stuffed toys that Jia and Miguel find irresistible. But hey, whatever it is, it’s a fun activity that the husband and wife enjoy.

In this particular trip, Jia and Miguel had a friendly contest on who between them would win the most toys. Jia trailed early but was able to catch up. As much as we'd like to write who won, both Jia and Miguel admitted they lost count. At the end of the day, based from the video, the two got at least 11 new stuffed toys.

“We’re perfectly happy with our haul. We all won today. We won more prizes than we [expected],” said Jia.

This hobby is enjoyable but it is definitely not cheap.

“’Pag nakita niyo na hindi magaganda ‘yung mga damit ko, ibig sabihin naubos na ‘yung budget ko sa mga laruan na’to,” Miguel jokingly said.
