She’s quite familiar with the place.
Filipina racing driver Bianca Bustamante has been making her country really proud with her latest conquests in the world of motorsports. The mere mention of her name could probably make any Filipino speed lover blush. If you think it’s an exaggeration, check this out.
Highlighted by a couple of first-place finishes, Bustamante was a key contributor to Prema Racing’s team championship in the inaugural F1 Academy Season. Secondly, she became the first female to join the McLaren Driver Development Program. To really hammer it home, Bianca is set to represent McLaren by running the team's livery on her F1 Academy race car for the 2024 season.
Not to mention, she’s already rubbed elbows with McLaren legend Lewis Hamilton.
In a few days, the 18-year-old speedster will take part in the 70th Anniversary Macau Grand Prix. On Saturday, Bianca took to Instagram to reflect on a full-circle moment in her career. On one of her IG stories, Bustamante posted a photo of her 14-year-old self, finding out early what her life’s passion was back when she was still a kart racer.

Set to compete in the non-championship round of the 2023 Formula 4 South East Asia Championship, Bustamante posted a few more throwback photos showing that she’s no stranger when it comes to winning it all in Macau.

Yep, she was collecting trophies on the coastal island from 2014 to 2018.

While Bustamante has won numerous times over there, her return will mark the first time she’ll race in the Macau Guia Circuit, which is known to be a difficult track. Then again, there’s no reason to doubt the history-making Filipina’s ability to deliver.
