18 teams were in action in another loaded weekend slate for the NBA.

The stars were out with standout offensive explosions, led by Anthony Edwards setting a new personal best with 53 points for the MInnesota Timberwolves against the Detroit Pistons.


CUNNINGHAM WINS DUEL OF TOP PICS, JOKER GETS BACK AT WEMBY

  • Detroit Pistons (17-18) def. Minnesota Timberwolves (17-17), 119-105: Cade Cunningham’s season-high 40 points more than enough as the Pistons stay hot at the expense of Anthony Edwards and his career-high 53 points for the Wolves.


  • Utah Jazz (8-25) def. Miami Heat (17-16), 136-100: Brice Sensabaugh scored a career-high 34 points as the Jazz snapped a five-game skid against the Heat, again playing without suspended and disgruntled star Jimmy Butler.


  • Philadelphia 76ers (14-19) def. Brooklyn Nets (13-22), 123-94: Joel Embiid scored 28 points, to go along with 12 rebounds, and six assists as the 76ers continue their recovery in the East standings with a win vs. Brooklyn.


  • Indiana Pacers (18-18) def. Phoenix Suns (15-18), 126-108: Tyrese Haliburton had 27-5-8 as the Indiana Pacers send the Suns to their fourth-straight loss.


  • Denver Nuggets (20-14) def. San Antonio Spurs (18-17) in OT, 122-111: Nikola Jokic takes charge in overtime as the Nuggets split their back-to-back home/away set with Wemby and the Spurs.


  • Portland Trail Blazers (12-22) def. Milwaukee Bucks (17-16), 105-102: Anfernee Simons comes up clutch as the Trail Blazers stun former star Damian Lillard and the Bucks in Milwaukee.


  • Chicago Bulls (16-19) def. New York Knicks (24-12), 139-126: On “Derrick Rose Night,” the Bulls dominate the second half for a big win over the Knicks in Chicago.


  • Golden State Warriors (18-16) def. Memphis Grizzlies (23-13), 121-113: Six Warriors in double figures as Golden Stats stops Memphis for a crucial win in the loaded West playoff race.


KAWHI LEONARD MAKES SEASON DEBUT

  • Los Angeles Clippers (20-15) def. Atlanta Hawks (18-18), 131-105: Kawi Leonard makes his season debut and the Clippers dominate the Hawks at the Intuit Dome.
