Pinoy MMA fighter Jeremy Pacatiw will no longer be fighting in the upcoming ONE Fight Night 28 in Thailand after his opponent Ibragim Dauev went over the weight limit and failed the initial hydration test.
Filipino MMA fighter Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw’s scheduled bout against undefeated Dagestani standout Ibragim Dauev at ONE Fight Night 28 on February 8 has been officially canceled after Dauev initially failed his hydration test and missed weight five times.
Pacatiw, known as "The Juggernaut" was set to compete in front of a packed Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, aiming for his third consecutive victory in ONE Championship. Meanwhile, Dauev—who previously dominated Mark “Tyson” Abelardo in his promotional debut—was looking to build on his momentum.

Despite multiple attempts, Dauev struggled to make the required weight, eventually passing hydration but logged in at 152.25 lbs. That was 7.25 pounds over the promotion's bantamweight limit.
Pacatiw made weight at exactly 145 pounds.
A catchweight fight was offered but Pacatiw declined, prioritizing fair competition and proper weight-cutting discipline.
"I did my part. All is set, but sometimes, not everything that seems to be an opportunity is good for us. Sometimes we have to say NO to opportunities to allow God's best to prevail. All I need to do is to be focused, in top shape, and entrust everything to God," Pacatiw said.
With the fight scrapped, Pacatiw now shifts his focus to his next challenge, while Dauev’s repeated weight issues raise questions about his future in the division.
