Fifth-ranked ONE Championship bantamweight MMA contender Jeremy “The Juggernuat” Pacatiw has a fight after his previous bout last week was cancelled on the scales.

His opponent won't be any easier though. He takes on #4-ranked contender and known Filipino killer Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu at ONE Fight Night 29 on March 8 inside Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Pacatiw was supposed to tangle with Ibragim Dauev at ONE Fight Night 28 last week, but the Russian missed weight by a wide margin. This left the Lions Nation MMA standout with no choice but to wait for his next shot.

Fortunately for him, he didn’t have to wait long. He'll now take on another top-five fighter in a match that could fast track his rise to contendership.

“Everything happens in God’s perfect timing. My last fight didn’t push through but I kept my focus and stayed ready,” Pacatiw said.

“Now I’m grateful for this new opportunity to compete in March against a tough Mongolian opponent. I’ll make the most of it and give my best in the Circle.”

The 28-year-old could see himself knocking on the door of ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Fabricio Andrade, making it two fighters from Eduard Folayang’s Lions Nation MMA chasing the Brazilian fighter.

After all, #2-ranked Stephen Loman is also on the hunt for a shot.

But it certainly won’t be easy against Baatarkhuu, who’s made a living beating Filipinos. In fact, four of his five wins in ONE have come against Pinoys – all in impressive fashion.

Like Pacatiw, Baatarkhuu is eyeing his third straight victory in the promotion as he’s fresh off stoppages over Carlo Bumina-ang and Aaron Canarte.

Toughness and relentless pressure have been the Mongolian’s bread and butter. He’s often put in tight spots by Pinoys, most notably against Bumina-ang and Jhanlo Sangiao, only to show the ability to absorb hits and comeback stronger.

Now it’s up to Pacatiw to get one back for team Philippines and end Baatarkhuu’s streak of terror against his compatriots.
