Dwight Howard dwarfed by two bigs at T1 League game

Dwight Howard dwarfed by two bigs at T1 League game
Tainan TSG GhostHawks

Dwight Howard may be a cut above everyone else at the Taiwanese T1 League given his All-star NBA career, but for once, Howard definitely looked like the smaller man when his team Taoyuan Leopards faced the Tainan TSG GhostHawks.

The GhostHawks featured 7-foot-5 Sim Bhullar and 7-foot-4 Samuel Deguara. Those height measures might be over- or underselling them because international data varies. So, we will let the eye test do it for you. Jump to the 48-second mark of the video below to see Bhullar and Deguara stop Howard.

It was a crucial game for the Leopards, who were looking to overcome their struggles in the season. But with two behemoths on the other team, the three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year could barely get his offense going.

Bhullar spent a big chunk of the night going head-to-head and banging bodies with Howard, so it probably did not surprise fans when the roughing went a little bit beyond basketball.

The Ghosthawks won the game 87-78. Bhullar performed well in his matchup against Howard, earning 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks. His running mate, Deguara, scored 16 points and collared 12 boards.

Howard, on the other hand, led his team with 21 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Zooming in to the two big men involved in the scuffle, both Howard and Bhullar didn’t seem to think much of it later on. Speaking in their post game press conference, Bhullar said that he wasn’t fazed by Howard, knowing that it was just basketball.

In case you didn't know, Bhullar also has NBA experience. He actually made history as the first player of Indian descent to play in the NBA. He appeared in three games with the Sacramento Kings during the 2014-15 season, but only played a total of three minutes.

Bhullar bounced around in the NBA G-League but was eventually left without a roster spot. That's when he decided to make a name for himself in other leagues across the world.

Together with Deguara, Bhullar is definitely creating a formidable big man duo for the GhostHawks in the T1 League.
