The former Rookie of the Year can still slam it.
Rico Maierhofer may have been out of the PBA for half a decade, but basketball remains an integral part of the life of the 2009 number one overall pick.
Just recently, Maierhofer played in a "hoops for cause" exhibition match at the MOA Arena together with PBA legends including Allan Caidic, Jayjay Helterbrand, Marc Pingris, and Johnny Abarrientos.
The retired PBA players cruised to an easy 100-83 win against their opponents.
Maierhofer himself capped the exhibition match with an electric, two-handed jam.
"Ang sarap sa pakiramdam 'pag charity game for a cause game and madami ka napapasaya na kapwa mo," Maierhofer said in a Facebook post.
The 2009 Rookie of the Year has been busy with the PBA Motoclub. It's always a good sight to see former players continue to keep their game shape in retirement.
