In celebration of its 49th year, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced on Tuesday, April 9, that they will give out free tickets to the first 100 fans who will fulfill certain criteria for tomorrow’s Philippine Cup twin billing in the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
To avail the free tickets, fans just need to fulfill ANY of the following criteria:
- Bring or wear a PBA team jersey
- Show a groufie together with their PBA idol
- Bring any memorabilia bearing the signature of their respective PBA idols
- Show an Facebook post while playing basketball, watching PBA games, wearing a PBA jersey, or holding a basketball and posted on the day of the league's anniversary (April 9) together with the hashtag #HappyBirthdayPBA
The Asia's first play-for-play league dubs the promo 'Maki-Join sa PBA Anibersaya,' in line with this special treat for fans as the league looks forward to celebrating their 50th year next year.
League-leaders San Miguel Beermen face Terrafirma Dyip, who are fresh off a stunning win over Barangay Ginebra San Miguel last Sunday, in the curtain raiser at 4:30 p.m.

The red-hot Northport Batang Pier, riding on a four-game winning run, battles the bounce-back seeking Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots in the main game at 7:30 p.m.

The league will also host two out-of-town in games in two different locations this Saturday, with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters facing Terrafirma in the Caloocan Sports Complex at 3:00 p.m., while the main event showdown of TNT Tropang Giga and NLEX Road Warriors commencing at 6:15 p.m. in Candon, Ilocos Sur.
