Ginebra did not skip a beat as it followed up its rousing Christmas Day win with a 93-81 decision against San Miguel in a hot start to the new year in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup on Sunday, Jan. 5.
Coming off a holiday break following its triumph over Magnolia, the Gin Kings looked sharper than ever in dealing the Beermen a fourth loss in seven games.
Ginebra, for its part, improved to a 5-2 win-loss card.
The Gin Kings will next test the mettle of league leader NorthPort at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
