Rondae Hollis-Jefferson appeared to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed in Game 2 of TNT and Ginebra's PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup Finals showdown Sunday, March 16.

Nearly nothing worked for the Tropang Giga import especially in the first half, where he shot 2-of-14 from the field for seven measly points.

He still went on to topscore for TNT with 25, but he did it on a mere 26.1 percent shooting.

As a team, the Tropang Giga misfired from the three-point area, knocking down just six of their 31 attempts compared to the 14 they hit in Game 1 which they won, 95-89.

“Very, very poor shooting on our behalf, you know, but you've got to give credit to those guys (Ginebra). They wanted to win, they played hard, they got the job done,” said RHJ, whose team lost to the Gin Kings, 70-71, in their second meeting in the best-of-seven series.

RHJ had a chance to steal the game in the final 7.3 seconds but was forced to take a tough shot against Stephen Holt and Scottie Thompson as time wound down.

He may have fumbled, but he would rather take this as an opportunity to learn. And he is willing to put in the work to improve  whether it be watching parts of the match where he may have gone wrong or receiving an earful from his coach Chot Reyes.

“I'll probably watch that shot 20 times. You know, the last, I want to say, two or three possessions I didn't even get a shot on? So that's on me. I mean, that's something I want to get better at, you know,” said the former Brooklyn Net.

“That's something I want to get better at or grow from it. You know, I'll watch it. I'll watch it. I'm not afraid to see where I messed up, where I made a mistake. Hopefully, Chot calls me out on it. I'm good with that, so it's all about getting better.”
