A fan used profane language on Twitter to criticize CJ Perez's endgame shot selection.
With the San Miguel Beermen down, 94-92, CJ Perez saw a chance to force a winner-take-all Game 5 in their semifinals series against the Bay Area Dragons.
He took it and missed.
Apparently, not too many SMB fans were thrilled with Perez’s homerun try—not when a two-pointer could have sent Game 4 to overtime. Some even took to social media to voice their disapproval of The Predator’s shot selection, including a few that used some NSFW language in doing so.
And it appears Perez’s wife, Sienna, got wind of one such profane post, and she responded in kind:
To be fair, it’s not like Perez forced that three-point attempt. He was open. And he had made three of those to that point. It was a good shot. He just missed it. Besides, it was Perez himself who got San Miguel in a position to steal Game 4 from Bay Area in the first half, matching the 20 points scored by Bay Area import Andrew Nicholson.
Moral of the story number 1: Don’t mess with The Predator’s wife. Mrs. Perez is not one to take the disrespect lightly, and she will defend her beau when she sees fit.
Moral of the story number 2: It’s okay to criticize players or call them out, but at least do it respectfully, or with some civility. No need to cuss or use invectives just to drive home a point.
