PVL president Ricky Palou is considering reverting to a two-import format for the 2023 PVL Reinforced Conference, but that would still depend on the teams.

Palou on Saturday told Noli Eala that the PVL is still discussing with the teams how many imports they want for the season-ending tournament.

"Our recommendation is two, but depends on what the teams decide on," Palou said during Power & Play on Radyo5.

"The club teams will have at least one foreign players each."

The PVL Reinforced Conference returned last year after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the nine squads only had one import each.

The Petro Gazz Angels won the competition, with Lindsey Vander Weide picking up the Best Import award.

Meanwhile, Olympian Prisilla Rivera of the Akari Chargers set a new PVL scoring record of 44 points.

From 2017 to 2019, the PVL Reinforced Conference had two imports in each squad, with Pocari Sweat's Michelle Strizak, PayMaya's Tess Rountree, and Petro Gazz's Wilma Salas winning Best Import nods.

The 2023 edition is expected to run from mid-October until the first or second week of December.
