Cheng is slowly but surely getting accustomed with the Flying Titans.
Des Cheng has been playing an important role for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans ever since joining the team in early 2022.
But that doesn’t mean that Cheng has had it easy from the get-go.
In a PVL segment aired before the Flying Titans’ match versus the Farm Fresh Foxies, Cheng was asked by teammate Isa Molde on what they can do to help her grow more as a player.
Cheng had this to say: “Siguro, ipa-feel niyo sa akin na parang I matter sa team na ito.”
Watching from the sidelines was team captain Bea De Leon, who replied, “You don’t think you matter?”
Cheng admitted something startling: That she felt she was included just to fill the team.
De Leon then immediately went to Cheng and hugged her former rival back in the UAAP as they became emotional.
The former DLSU Lady Spiker later admitted that she has been getting used to playing with her Choco Mucho teammates.
Prior to her transfer to the Flying Titans, Cheng had always been around her La Salle teammates—even during the PVL when she was with the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
But now with a new team, Cheng is out to prove her skills as she and the Flying Titans are hoping to reach even greater heights this PVL Invitational Conference.
