Risa Sato gamely answers fan questions—including one about playing in Japan

There is no denying that Risa Sato has been a sparkplug off that Creamline Cool Smashers bench. She is also among the team’s most popular and beloved players.

And, on Thursday, Sato posted Instagram Stories of her followers’ questions—along with her answers, of course.

A fan just had to ask: “Why always cutiee?”

To which Sato responded, “Ako lang ‘to. Char.”

With Sato always cheerful and smiling, it was inevitable that a fan would ask, “Never ka pa ata umiyak no?”

“When I was born, umiyak na ako,” was Sato’s very Sato-san answer.

Now, Sato fans know she loves champorado, so one had to ask, “Bakit favorite mo champorado?”

Her answer, again, was very Sato-san: “Wala kasi sa Japan, kaya tuwa lang ako. Gusto ko na champorado.”

Things turned serious, too, as fans asked the hard questions. For example, one had to ask if Sato was single or taken.

Apparently, the bubbly volleybelle is single at the moment.

Another fan asked, “Do you love training?”

“Yes,” Sato replied. “Kahit pagod sa training love pa din. Hahaha. Laban lang!”

Someone also asked, perhaps in light of Creamline’s Jia de Guzman taking her act to the Japan V.League, if Sato would want to play in Japan.

“If you’re given a chance to be an import in Japan, would you accept it and why?” asked the fan.

Sato’s answer might give Creamline fans a sense of déjà vu—and maybe a tinge of worry.

“Yes, nandun mga teammates ko dati sa high school,” answered Sato, who was born in Osaka and raised in the Land of the Rising Sun. “Para ulit kami kita sa Japan and laro ulit.”

The Creamline faithful, though, can rest easy, as there are no offers for Sato to take her act to Japan as well—at least not yet.

Otherwise, it might be sayonara to another Cool Smasher.
