Volleybelle and former beauty pageant contestant Mary Joy Dacoron has embraced and made fun of her seeming likeness with Miss Universe 2023 winner Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua.
Some pointed out the similarities, especially when Palacios suited up for her national costume.
Well now, Dacoron has her own wings as the midde blocker was picked up by the Petro Gazz Angels, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Dacoron saw limited minutes off the bench for the now-disbanded F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, but could get more opportunities with the Angels. Star middle blocker MJ Phillips is still playing in South Korea, while Ranya Musa on the mend following an injury during the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.
Dacoron will be seeing a familiar face in fellow middle blocker from F2 Logistics Ethan Arce, who was also announced as a Petro Gazz acquisition.
Mary Joy previously suited up for the Cignal HD Spikers, Chery Tiggo Crossovers, BanKo Perlas Spikers, and the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors.
