Baron, among the F2 Logistics mainstays during the team’s best years, has been slowly getting on the right track again.
She won Best Middle Blocker in the 2023 Invitational Conference, and was among the top-6 in the best blockers in the 2nd All-Filipino Conference.
In PLDT, Baron fortifies what has been a powerful frontline for the High Speed Hitters that include Mika Reyes and Dell Palomata, both Best Blocker winners themselves.
As she moves to a new team, Baron is excited for a fresh start while also having the convenience of familiarity thanks the the F2 and De La Salle ties with the High Speed Hitters.
"'Yung thought na everything I learned from La Salle and F2, lalawak pa because I'm in a new system makes me really excited,” she said.
In many ways, all the Animo spirit emanating from PLDT makes Majoy feel like a student, and she intends to pass here with flying colors as well.
“Every new coach and every new teammate, I intend to learn from them.” Baron said. "I'm coming into the PLDT team as a student of the sport. Hopefully, I ace this challenge as well."
