9 out of 12 players selected in the first round of the inaugural 2024 PVL Rookie Draft came from De La Salle University and Adamson University.
De La Salle University and Adamson University accounted for most of the picks in the first round of the inaugural 2024 PVL Rookie Draft, which was held at Novotel Manila Araneta City Hotel in Cubao on Monday, July 8.
Nine out of the first 12 picks came from the two UAAP schools, with DLSU’s Thea Gagata, Leila Cruz, Julia Coronel, and Maicah Larroza going in the top-4.

From there on, it was mostly Lady Falcons, as Lucille Almonte was selected fifth by the Nxled Chameleons. Ishie Lalongisip was selected by the Cignal HD Spikers at 7th, while Angelica Alcantara went to the PLDT High Speed Hitters at 8th.
Karen Verdeflor and AA Adolfo went 9th and 10th, going to the Chery Tiggo Crossovers and Petro Gazz Angels, respectively.
The three players selected in the first round who weren’t from La Salle or Adamson were University of the Philippines’ Stephanie Bustrillo, who went to the Akari Chargers, as well as Arellano University’s Lorraine Pecaña, and Aleah Torres of Brock University.
Pecaña went to the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, while Torres was selected by the Creamline Cool Smashers.
