Though the PLDT High Speed Hitters may not have reached the finals, Lena Samoilenko, their import, discovered a priceless treasure: the unwavering support and bond of the High Speed Hitters.
Lena has been the guiding light for PLDT’s push to the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference semifinals, stepping up with extraordinary strength and heart.
With their key player, Savi Davison, sidelined by injury for the entire conference, Lena's pivotal role has become even more profound.
With the conclusion of the Reinforced Conference, Lena Samoilenko of PLDT has poured out her heartfelt thanks to her teammates.
“PLDT ? ? I want to once again express my deep gratitude to the team and the entire coaching staff and personnel for the work done. The emotions invited me to be with you again,” she wrote on Instagram.
“You will always be and are in my [heart]. You are more than a team. Always believe in yourself and never let go of hands!” she added.
The PLDT High Speed Hitters have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for their Russian import, a gentle giant who initially wore a stoic expression but now beams with a smile, touched by the warmth and affection of the Filipino fans.
“What's more glaring, though, was how she was smiling this time around. From having a poker face last time, she was light and cool and having fun during her second gig with PLDT,” they posted on Instagram.
The PLDT High Speed Hitters fought valiantly in a tough battle against the Cignal HD Spikers for a podium finish in the 2024 PVL Reinforced Battle for Bronze.
The team has chosen to step back from the 2024 PVL Invitational Conference to heal and recover, embracing this time to rejuvenate and return stronger.
