With another season completed, the competition is expected to only get tougher in the PVL.

As the offseason unfolds, several PVL squads are looking to take in all their experiences from the previous conferences to build on a better campaign in the upcoming season.

Here’s a quick review and outlook of PVL teams looking to climb up the standings come the All-Filipino Conference next season.

Farm Fresh Foxies

2024 All-Filipino Conference: 9th place

2024 Reinforced Conference: 8th place

2024 Invitational Conference: 5th place

The Foxies gained valuable experience after coming as a last-minute substitute for the PLDT High Speed Hitters during the recently-concluded Invitational Conference.

Despite failing to secure a win in the five-team tournament, Farm Fresh has shown some improvements under new head coach Shota Sato.

From being among the bottom four teams in the standings, the Foxies will look to climb up the rankings and compete for a spot in the playoffs next season.

Galeries Tower Highrisers

2024 All-Filipino Conference: 10th place

2024 Reinforced Conference: 11th place

2024 Invitational Conference: Did not qualify

The Highrisers had a Reinforced Conference to forget after failing to get a single win in Pool A after going 0-5.

The bright spot? Galeries Tower showed they could be a team known for their floor defense, led by new Best Libero Alyssa Eroa.

With Alas Pilipinas setter Julia Coronel set to join the squad next season, the Highrisers will aim for a better start to their PVL season.

ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles

2024 All-Filipino Conference: 12th place

2024 Reinforced Conference: 12th place

2024 Invitational Conference: Did not qualify

In back-to-back conferences, the Thunderbelles finished dead last in 12th place, failing to win a single game.

Still looking for their first-ever win in the league, ZUS Coffee’s fortunes could finally begin to turn with Alas Pilipinas middle blocker and first overall pick Thea Gagate joining the team next season.

The Thunderbelles also saw its rookie middle blocker Shayra Ancheta take home the Rookie of the Conference award.

It hasn’t been the best of starts for ZUS Coffee, but a win will definitely mean a lot for the Jerry Yee-led squad.

Nxled Chameleons

2024 All-Filipino Conference: 8th place

2024 Reinforced Conference: 10th place

2024 Invitational Conference: Did not qualify

The transfer of coach Taka Minowa, along with stars Ivy Lacsina and Kamille Cal, left a massive hole for the Chameleons during the Reinforced Conference.

After failing to fit under Chinese coach Chen Gang’s system, Nxled has already tapped Italian coach Ettore Guidetti to lead the rebuild.

Guidetti is expected to bring his proven system to a young Chameleons squad trying to establish itself in the PVL.

While not much is expected of the team just yet, expect Nxled to give it their all once more and maybe even surprise some fans and teams.
