The ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles are building up for the upcoming 2024-2025 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Thunderbelles announced on Tuesday, October 15, the signing of superstar Jovelyn Gonzaga, who is returning to the league after playing for the Cignal HD Spikers from 2023 to 2024.
Gonzaga sat out the HD Spikers’ campaign in the 2024 PVL Reinforced and Invitational Conference due to her commitment to the Philippine Army.
The Bionic Ilongga helped Cignal bag back-to-back bronze medal finishes in the 2023 Invitational and Reinforced Conference.
But this offseason, the lefty outside hitter decided to make her return with ZUS Coffee team, which will feature no. 1 pick Thea Gagate.
The possibility was raised as early as August, when Gonzaga posed as an official sponsor of the coffee brand.
Gonzaga is expected to bring her veteran presence and leadership the young Thunderbelles as they eye their first win in the team’s history this upcoming conference.
