The Choco Mucho Flying Titans proved to be too much for the Akari Chargers after winning in four sets in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Choco Mucho Flying Titans continued their red-hot momentum after downing the Akari Chargers in four sets, 25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 25-15, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday, February 8.
Coming off a 15-day break, the Flying Titans showed no signs of rust as they ended the Chargers’ own winning run at two games.
In the fourth set, Choco Mucho pulled away early from Akari behind a 12-4 blast capped by a kill block by Maica Ortiz on Faith Nisperos.
With momentum on their side, the Flying Titans cruised to victory, building their largest lead at 21-9 after a back row tip by Sisi Rondina.
Deanna Wong would bring Choco Mucho to match point after winning the joust over Faith Nisperos, and Rondina then sealed a fourth-straight win with a through-the-block attack.
Rondina led the way once more for the Dante Alinsunurin-led squad with 18 points on 17 attacks and one block.
With the win, the Flying Titans improved to 6-3 tied with the PLDT High Speed Hitters and Cignal HD Spikers, while the Chargers dropped to 5-5.
The Flying Titans will go for five in a row against the Nxled Chameleons on Thursday, February 13.
