It was short and sweet.

Legendary setter Tina Salak is moving on after her short coaching stint with the FEU Lady Tamaraws.

Salak will soon be migrating to the United States after her immigrant visa application was approved, the FEU Tamaraws page reported.

The 1995 UAAP MVP took the reins of the Lady Tamaraws in UAAP Season 85, with the team ending up in fifth place with a 6-8 record. It was a vast improvement from FEU's last place finish in Season 84, where the Morayta-based squad finished a listless 1-13.

Under her tutelage, FEU led the league in digs with libero Marga Encarnacion. Her teammate, Jov Fernandez, was also hailed Best Opposite Spiker.

It was actually Salak who then convinced Fernandez to immediately go pro with the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.

Salak will remain as consultant for the Lady Tamaraws while planning her move overseas. Coach Manolo Refugia will serve as interim head coach for the V-League Collegiate Challenge next month.
