The winning ways continue for National University after crushing the University of the East in straight sets, 25-13, 25-19, 25-16, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Sunday, March 10.

After a dominant first set, the Lady Bulldogs lost their momentum at the start of the second as the Lady Warriors started with a 6-2 lead.

But after a timeout by coach Norman Miguel, NU quickly regained its poise to go on a 5-0 run to once again take over the advantage.

The Lady Bulldogs would then extend their lead, banking on Bella Belen and Nathasza Bombita to hold off the Lady Warriors and secure the set win.

In the third set, NU continued its dominance over UE, starting on a 6-0 run which ultimately fueled the team to victory.

Belen led the Lady Bulldogs with 11 points to go along with 10 excellent digs, and five excellent receptions, while Vange Alinsug and Aisha Bello added nine and seven points, respectively.

NU rookie Abe Pono also had solid outing with three points and eight excellent sets as the team was able to field in all of its players and even scored at least two points.
