National University officially secured a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four of the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament after overpowering the Far Eastern University in straight sets, 25-21, 25-19, 25-22, on Wednesday, April 24.

While the Lady Bulldogs were once again led by their deadly trio of Alyssa Solomon, Bella Belen, and Vange Alinsug, the Jhocson-based squad know that they will need every support they can get heading into the Final Four as they target a third-straight appearance in the UAAP Finals.

In their win over FEU, it was libero Shaira Jardio who had a solid outing, contributing 11 excellent digs and 16 excellent receptions.

But even with her solid performance, the sophomore libero is hoping to up her performance even further in the Final Four.

"Siguro 'yung ngayon kong game, hindi pa ako 'yun. Hindi ko pa best 'yun. Gusto ko pang may mas ibubuga pa ako sa mga crucial games na maging mas consistent pa," Jardio said during the post-game press conference.

Aside from having a consistent performance for the Lady Bulldogs, Jardio also wants to continue bringing a positive mindset to the team, who finished with a 12-2 record in the elimination round powered by a second-round sweep.

"Nagmi-mindset lang ako na laging positive lang ako sa loob ng court. Malaki kasi role ko sa loob ko, so parang pag ako 'yung mawala, wala nang magle-lead," said Jardio.

"Nandyan naman sina ate Bella pero malaki talaga 'yung role ko, so kailangan ko umangat at maging mas consistent sa loob ng court," she added.

NU will await the match between De La Salle University (11-2) and University of Santo Tomas (11-2) to determine the final rankings for the playoffs.

DLSU and UST will duke it out on Saturday, April 27, for the second twice-to-beat edge. A win by the Golden Tigresses will put the Lady Bulldogs at second, while a Lady Spikers victory will give the Lady Bulldogs the top seed.
