National University quickly rediscovered its winning ways as it fended off Far Eastern U, 25-22, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18, in their second-round encounter in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao Sunday, March 30.
Alyssa Solomon unleashed a season-high 30 points, four points shy of her career-best, to lead the Lady Bulldogs to their ninth win against a sole loss.
NU looked to run away in the fourth set when it went ahead by nine points, 19-10.
But the Lady Tamaraws made it a battle when they unleashed an 8-2 blitz to threaten within three, 18-21.
Quick to retort were the Lady Bulldogs who went off on a 4-0 finishing kick to seal their season sweep over their fellow title contenders.

Bella Belen converted on match point to cap another triple-double effort with her 18 points, 14 excellent digs and 13 excellent receptions.
Meanwhile, FEU slipped to 6-4.
Faida Bakanke led the Lady Tamaraws with 21 points.
