You know things are going well when Instagram is full of nothing but gratitude.

It means we did a good job.

And sure it was as the Alas Pilipinas were extraordinary.

After 63 long years, the newly formed women’s national team brought the country home in the podium finish of the 2024 AVC Cup Challenge. Amidst short preparation and less familiarity among the star volleybelles, the Alas Pilipinas have managed to put the Philippines on the pedestal of the international volleyball scene.

True enough, they deserve all the credit.

In their social media posts, some Alas Pilipinas members have expressed their gratitude on social media.

“Thank you, Lord! All for you. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng sumuporta sa Alas Pilipinas!!!” wrote team captain and Best Setter, Jia Morado-de Guzman.

On and off the court, the kapitana has stayed humble.

From being the star libero of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers to Alas Pilipinas’ defense maestro, Jen has surely been a Filipino pride.

“Para sa Pilipinas,” said Jen Nierva.

Meanwhile, Fifi Sharma got emotional on her first international stint.

“I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to represent and serve the flag; never in a million years did I think I’d reach this level of volleyball, let alone get a bronze the very first time! ," she wrote on Instagram.

Every spike of the young but feisty 21-year-old DLSU Lady Spikers’ main gunner, Angel Canino, led her to find her greater purpose in her passion for volleyball.

“For those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Thank you, Alas Pilipinas,” the 2024 AVC Best Opposite Spiker captioned.

On the other hand, it was a dream come true moment for baddie Vanie Gandler.

Pilipinas kong mahal,” she wrote.

Short but sweet, veteran middle blocker Dell Palomata is over the moon with his new achievement.

“🥉🇵🇭,” Dell captioned.

Hats off to the Alas Pilipinas for spiking up national pride!
