Ready to drip their new kits and drop some wins in Bahrain are the Alas Pilipinas Men.
The men’s national volleyball team got their new kits just in time for the upcoming 2024 AVC Men's Challenge Cup this June 2-9.
Longtime national team skipper Marck Espejo led the squad in securing their newly-designed jerseys today, May 30, with a combination of white, blue, and red -- colors that are predominantly present in our Philippine flag -- composing the threads.
Joining Espejo in the 14-man team are Nico Almendras, Noel Kampton, Jade Disquitado and Leo Ordiales, Kim Malabunga, JP Bugaoan, Rwenzmel Taguibolos, and Lloyd Josafat, among others.
Two-time UAAP MVP Josh Ybañez holds a new task at hand, playing as the team’s main libero and not in his usual spiker position alongside Cignal HD Spikers’ Vince Lorenzo.

Team Philippines are in Group A alongside hosts Bahrain, and powerhouse China, who is coming off a silver medal run in the recent Asian Games while Pool B that features Thailand, Pakistan, and Kazakhstan.
Pool C comprises Indonesia, South Korea, and Qatar while Pool D parades Vietnam, Australia, and Chinese Taipei.
With head coach Sergio Veloso at the helm, the Nationals are aiming to surpass their 10th place finish in last year’s event. Alas Men will open their campaign against China.
