Fnatic ONIC PH aims to become the fifth straight team from the Philippines to rule the annual tournament.
Mind over matter.
Coach Anthony ‘YnoT’ Senedrin and Fnatic ONIC PH are focusing on sharpening their mental toughness ahead of the M6 World Championship in Malaysia.
“It’s more preparing mentally sa mga bagay na hindi pa nila nae-experience,” Senedrin spoke about the the reigning MPL-PH champions' preparation for the event.
On November 21, Thursday, ONIC received a warm send-off by their SONIC fan base ahead of the sixth annual edition of biggest MLBB event in the world.
While acknowledging that some of his players lack international experience, Senedrin assured that the squad is putting emphasis on working the right mindset led by Kelra, their resident Gold Laner.
Before joining the squad this year, the reigning MPL Philippines Season 14 Finals MVP was part of Omega Esports that had a semifinal run in the M2 World Championship three years ago.
Omega topped the group stage in that tournament before dropping their best-of-three semis duel against Indonesia’s RRQ Hoshi.
“80% ng players of the team is hindi pa naka experience ng international na laban so its more on pagprepare sa kanila on what’s [about] to happen even ‘yung mga normal daily things lang,” Senedrin admitted.
He added: “‘Yung more on storytelling and Kelra sharing his experiences as a player and ‘yung semis run.”
The Malaysia-bound Fnatic ONIC joined Aurora as the Philippines’ top two bets for the tournament that the country ruled for five times in its first six editions.
