Team Secret fell short against Talon ESports, 1-2, in the second day of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific Stage 1 at the Sangnam Coliseum in Seoul, South Korea.

The all-Filipino Squad kept their lineup intact entering the Pacific qualifiers for the Valorant Masters Toronto 2025.

Ending the first half of Game 1 at 7-5, Team Secret were able to lockdown the Pearl map as defenders and score six straight rounds to finish at 13-5.

All-Thailand team Talon bounced back in Game 2 and take a commanding 13-2 win.

With Haven as the deciding map, Team Secret took a 7-5 lead as attackers to end the first half. Talon was able to tie the game at 8-8 before taking the next three rounds.

Now down 9-12, Team Secret made a play on C site led by Invy's Cypher but were unable to hold the post plant.

Team Secret joins Zeta Division in the bottom of the Group Omega standings at 0-1, while Talon is tied at first place with T1.

Meanwhile, Korean team DRX made adjustments throughout the series to survive Paper Rex (PRX), 2-1, in the earlier series of Day.

PRX was able to open strong with an 8-0 lead in the first map Haven, but DRX answered back with 10 straight rounds to overtake the multinational team and eventually complete the comeback at 13-9.

DRX was able to carry their momentum in Icebox and end the first half at 9-3. PRX proved the 9-3 curse to be a fluke as they won the next seven rounds.

While DRX tried to recover, Forsaken and the rest of PRX were just too much to handle in the second map en route to a 13-11 victory in Game 2.

But PRX ran out of gas in the third game, lagging eight rounds behind DRX. Hyumin's Raze plays helped DRX eventually close out the series at 13-7.

DRX now ties Global Esports with a 1-0 record on top of the Group Alpha standings, while PRX joins DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM) at the bottom with one loss apiece.
