SJ Belangel has always been worth idolizing, especially after he forever became a part of Gilas Pilipinas lore with that wild three-point game-winner against South Korea in the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.

Let us refresh that memory for you.

And it seems like the 24-year-old point guard has been gaining more and more fans as part of the Daegu Kogas Pegasus in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).

Just check out the line of female fans waiting to get his autograph and a photo with him.

Some of his fans couldn't help but feel warm and fuzzy after meeting the former Ateneo Blue Eagles standout.

Plus, he now seems fully integrated with the Korean culture, even getting that signature haircut seen among male K-pop idols and K-drama stars.

Clearly, Belangel, who forewent his final year of eligbility in the UAAP to play in the KBL, is having the time of his life.

Belangel is averaging 13.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in his most productive season yet. The Pegasus, however, still have a lot of catching up to do, as they sit ninth in the standings with a 4-15 win-loss record.
