Manny Pacquiao, eight-division boxing champion. Dwight Howard, NBA champion. Who would have thought Pacman and Superman would meet in the Philippines?

It turns out they may have a lot more in common than anyone thought.

See, Howard is in the country as part of Strong Group Athletics. The Charles Tiu-led squad will represent the Philippines in the upcoming Dubai International Basketball Championship.

And Howard openly spoke of the willingness to play in the PBA. Maybe if they did away with the height limit

Pacquiao himself had a short stint in the PBA as part of the Kia Picanto.

On Thursday night, the Strong Group paid a visit to Pacquiao.

They got into really deep, philosophical conversations with former Gilas Pilipinas center Andray Blatche. They spoke of debates which have stumped philosophers for years.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

The Superman was also pretty stoked to meet Pacquiao as he jokingly called out celebrity boxer Jake Paul.

"Jake Paul, I'm coming for 'ya baby! Let's go!" he said, prompting laughs from the group.

"I finally found a trainer to prepare me for this Jake Paul fight 🕺🏾🥊 Who 'ya got winning 👀" he posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Paul is a YouTuber who has embraced being a professional boxer.

Howard noted how ironic it was that he initially saw Pacquiao was in Taiwan while the baller was in the Philippines.

Turned out that Pacquiao was abroad at that time to be named the honorary president of Carry Fighting Championship, Taiwan's first pro boxing league.

Maybe Howard, who previously competed in Taiwan's T1 basketball league, can go back to wear boxing gloves when he's done with the hard court.
