It looks like the long waiting line for Japan men’s volleyball superstar Ran Takahashi has been overtaken by Fil-Ivorian fencer Maxine Esteban.

Esteban is the latest athlete to meet Takahashi after the Japanese volleyball star returned to the Philippines for a brand meeting.

The 23-year-old fencer was all smiles as she posted her photo with the 22-year-old Japanese spiker on her Instagram.

Before the Olympian fencer, the crown belonged to Akari Chargers’ middle blocker Fifi Sharma, who had a photo with Takahashi during the 2024 VNL Manila Leg.

In 2023, Chery Tiggo Crossovers’ libero Jen Nierva had a fangirl moment with Japan’s outside hitter and team captain Yuki Ishikawa.

In addition, Creamline Cool Smashers superstar Alyssa Valdez posted a photo with Takahashi and received a follow-back on her Instagram account.

Of course, we also cannot forget the iconic jowa reveal of NU Lady Bulldogs’ ace Bella Belen, who had a photo with Takahashi back in 2022.

But if there’s one thing in common among the female athletes who met Ran, it’s Esteban’s reaction to meeting the volleyball star.
