Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is set to join the ranks of the sport's immortals as he will be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2025.

The announcement by the Hall of Fame on Friday, December 6, further cemented Pacquiao’s legacy as one of the greatest boxers of all time.

The 45-year-old Pacquiao enjoyed an illustrious career that spanned over two decades, from 1995 to 2021.

As a champion across eight weight divisions—from flyweight to super welterweight—Pacquiao’s achievements remain unparalleled in the history of boxing.

The Pambansang Kamao also became the oldest welterweight champion in boxing history at age 40 after defeating Keith Thurman in 2019 to claim the WBA welterweight title.

The southpaw superstar retired with an impressive professional record of 62 wins, eight losses, and two draws.

Pacquiao becomes the second Filipino and the second Asian to be inducted into the prestigious Hall, following Gabriel “Flash” Elorde, a super featherweight world champion in the 1960s who was honored posthumously in 1993.

Throughout his career, Pacquiao thrilled fans worldwide with his explosive power, speed, and relentless fighting style.

Some of Pacquiao’s most memorable victories came against boxing greats such as Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Ricky Hatton, and Miguel Cotto.

Pacquiao retired from professional boxing in 2021 after a loss to Yordenis Ugas but stayed in the limelight through exhibition fights, keeping his connection to the sport alive.
