The San Miguel Beermen are out of the playoffs race in the 2024-25 EASL season with their fourth straight loss, this time to the Hiroshima Dragonflies of Japan.
The Hiroshima Dragonflies dashed the San Miguel Beermen’s hopes for a first win, securing a dominant 94-63 victory to advance to the Final Four in Group A of the East Asia Super League (EASL).
First timers in the EASL, the reigning Japan B.League champions were able to book a semifinals spot by forcing the Beermen to just 12 points in the final quarter.
Only June Mar Fajardo and import Torren Jones scored in double figures in what is San Miguel's second lowest scoring output of the EASL season.
SMB though can still hope to salvage their season against Hong Kong Eastern and Suwon KT Sonicboom.
