Pinoy weightlifters Elreen Ando, John Ceniza, and Vanessa Sarno are locked in training in Metz, France as they carry the hopes of the country with every set they lift going into the Olympic Games.
The Philippine Centennial Team for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 have put their game faces on as they started their training camp in Metz, France, the first for a Olympic contingent of the country.
Among them, packing power in their guns, are Olympic weightlifters Elreen Ando, John Ceniza, and Vanessa Sarno.
The month-long training of the delegation is part of their preparation in acclimating to the conditions of their respective competitions.
But for the weightlifters, it's not anymore the sheer weight of each iron they lift, but the ability to carry the hopes of every Filipino, and be acknowledged not just as the most powerful lifter of the country, but of the world.
Weightlifter John Ceniza is already pumped in his warmup. No cold feet for debut?
Ceniza takes a few pointers from Elreen Ando? The veteran is already in form.
Snatch master Vanessa Sarno blocks out everything with laser thin focus.
Ando braces for return, and to surpass the moment of Tokyo 2021...
...While Ceniza puts more weights to reach his limit.
But both are the same in goals and spirit: to raise the flag and snatch the gold.
