The Philippine gymnast first qualified for the vault finals, finishing sixth with an average of 14.683. This assures Yulo will enter his second Olympic vault finals, after ending fourth in Tokyo 2020.

Carlos Yulo was untouched in the floor exercise qualification, remaining second with a score of 14.766. It will be redemption for the Filipino gymnast, after crashing out early in Tokyo 2020.

Notably, Yulo will also compete in the all-around finals. He finished ninth with a total score of 83.631.
