The recent Roland Garros-Wimbledon double champion Carlos Alcaraz sustained his fine form with an outstanding opening game victory over Lebanon's Hady Habib in the Olympics Games Paris 2024 on Saturday, July 27.
World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz wasted no time in his Olympic debut, taking control early in each set to see off 275th-ranked Hady Habib, 6-3, 6-1 in Paris 2024 at the Court Philippe-Chatrier on Saturday, July 27.
Alcaraz, who lifted the Roland Garros trophy at the same venue last June before ruling Wimbledon to complete the Channel Slam, broke Habib at the first opportunity in both the first and second frames to dictate the 70-minute match.
The 21-year-old Spaniard will next square off with either Cameron Norrie or Tallon Griekspoor in the second round.
