Can Bianca Pagdanganan, Dottie Ardina pull off the improbable?

It’s the Philippines’ last stand in the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Bianca Pagdanganan presents the biggest chance to score one more medal in these Olympics as the Filipina golfer is in the thick of things in the fight for podium.

Entering the final round of women’s golf Saturday (Philippine time), Pagdanganan is in joint 13th place with a total of 214 but is five shots out Team USA’s Rose Zhang and Japan’s Miyu Yamashita, who currently share third place with totals of 209.

This despite Bianca having a tough third round where she shot a 73, her worst of the tournament.

Pagdanganan was par-72 in round 1 and then shot a 69 round 2, which allowed her to break into the top-10.

Switzerland’s Morgane Metraux and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko lead the field with a total of 207.

Meanwhile, Dottie Ardina is in for a strong finish, jumping 13 spots for joint 23rd entering the final round.

Ardina shot a personal tournament-best 69 in round 3, for a total of 217.
