Kevin Durant is the first men's basketball player to win an Olympic gold medal four times.
As far as men’s basketball in the Olympics is concerned, one man stands alone at the top.
By taking victory in Paris 2024, Kevin Durant is the first men’s basketball player to win the Olympic gold medal four times.
Paris 2024 is KD’s fourth gold after similar conquests in Tokyo 2020, Rio 2016, and London 2012.
Despite a reduced role for Team USA in Paris, mostly coming off the bench after dealing with nagging injuries during the USA Basketball Showcase, Durant still put up 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in a clean 6-0 sweep.
Aside from a historic fourth gold medal in Paris, Durant also made Team USA history in these Olympics, passing Lisa Leslie as the all-time USA Basketball scoring leader.
KD finished his fourth Olympics with a total of 518 points. He averaged 20.7 points in an MVP campaign in Tokyo, 19.4 points in Rio, and 19.5 points during his first foray in London.
