Apple David drills the highlight of the event.
PBA courtside reporter Apple David took a few steps back and a couple of seconds before launching an underhand heave from beyond the arc.
It went in.
It turned out to be the clincher as David’s Team Red ruled the PBA All-Star Shooting Stars competition on Sunday.
“I guess it’s the competitiveness and refusing-to-lose mentality that powered me to that shot. Ayoko lang talaga matalo,” she said with a hearty laugh.
In this year’s edition of the side event, reporters David, Denise Tan (Blue Team), and Bea Escudero (White Team) wore the player hat for a change, and joined in on the fun on the last day of the festivities in Passi City, Iloilo.
David teamed up with Senator Bong Go, Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Jonas Terrado, and fan Roger Suplag.
Tan’s Blue team was made up of Reuben Terrado (Spin.ph), Randy Palomaria (Passi City Hall), and Christopher Magallon (fan), while Escudero teamed up with Justin Bacnis (Tiebreaker Times), Ramon Pantin (City Hall), and Jephe Palmes (fan).
